How The Evening Measure works

What we source, what we calculate, what we do not infer, and how to suggest a correction.

An editorial scene for How The Evening Measure works
This guide favors clear cues, verified sources, and a usable next step.

The Evening Measure separates source-backed fact, calculated estimate, disputed history, and editorial interpretation. Cards show their declared inputs. When a meaningful ingredient’s ABV is unknown, the publication does not publish a numerical total.

We do not calculate blood alcohol concentration, time to sobriety, safe driving time, or personalized drinking limits. We use public-domain historical manuals where possible, summarize current professional recipe data, and write explanations independently. Corrections are welcomed at the contact desk; source detail lives in the ledger.
